The 'जीना Forever' memorial concert was a musical tribute to celebrate the life and legacy of Gina Braganza and featured performances by some of India’s leading musicians and artists.
The event also marked the launch of the जीना Forever Foundation for disadvantaged/aging musicians and an Inspirational/Gospel Music label.
The Gina Forever concert also saw the launch of an Inspiration/Gospel music label and a commemorative CD in honour of Gina featuring singers from across the length and breadth of India.
Funds for the Foundation will be raised through contributions from well wishers and the Opus community of music lovers.

Gina Forever, a tribute Concert to be held at Opus in the Creek on the 6th of November, 8:30 pm (IST)

It will feature young musicians whose paths she helped define like Karan Joseph, Megha Girish, Mark Swaroop, Venkat Subramaniyam, Judy Das and more, and older, established artists whose lives she touched, purely by being her like Gerard Machado, Stanley Pinto, Vinoo Mathew, Silu Jamal, Floyd Fernandes, Agnee and many more.

The event will also announce the birth of the Gina Forever Foundation that will provide support for aging musicians in India. “We’ve been touched by the lives and stories of musicians who, for various reasons, have been financially hit and Gina often spoke about wanting to support them. It is only fitting that we honour Gina’s memory by giving back to a cause that was so close to her heart,” said Carlton. Funds for the Foundation will be raised through contributions from well wishers and the Opus community of music lovers.

The Gina Forever concert will also see the launch of an Inspiration/Gospel music label and a commemorative CD in honour of Gina featuring singers from across the length and breadth of India, some of whom have recorded songs specifically for the purpose.
The CD features artists like Remo Fernandes, Soulmate, Vivienne Pocha, Ashu, Louis Banks, Skinny Alley, Junkyard Groove, Thermal and a Quarter, Galeej Gurus, and loads by the Opus talent.

The event is a first of many kinds. It is the First Anniversary of http://www.myopusradio.com/, Gina’s pet project.

It is also the launch of the radio’s first live webcast. So if you know people anywhere in the world who might want to share the experience, all they need to do is log on to http://www.myopusradio.com/livestream at 8.30 pm (IST) on the 6th of November to witness how we Celebrate Gina.

And last but not the least, Carlton launches OMG! ‘Opus Memorabilia and Goodies’ a brand of merchandise that Gina and he had talked about often. Needless to say proceeds from the sales of OMG! and the CD will go to the Gina Forever Foundation.

Weirdass Productions, the production house of renowned stand-up comedian Vir Das, organized India’s first ever Weirdass Ham-ateur. The basic aim of these Weirdass Ham-ateur Nights is to give an ideal platform for upcoming talents in the field of comedy right from stand up to sketch comedy, from musical to slap stick comedy.

ALIEN CHUTNEY - Its India’s first ‘comedy rock band’. Vir Das has teamed up with musician Kaizad Gherda and producer Kabir Singh to create a unique music album that combines hilarious lyrics and song concepts with sophisticated music composition and vocal performance.
